Before starting any online business, it is important to register the domain name you want . If the most suitable domain name is not available, it is advisable to register another domain name.
The Tld for the domain name should be selected based on the market you wish to target. If your buyers or customers are from a particular region, you should select the country code ccTLd, but if you are selling a digital product which can be purchased by a customer anywhere, a .com domain name is preferred.
Many hosting companies offer free domain registration, but it is not advisable to use this offers to register important domains. When the domains are free, they are usually registered in the name of the hosting company who will hold the domain , if you wish to change hosting at a later date.
Many registrars run special promotions for domain names and you can save a significant amount by registering the domains during these offer periods.
